Denali National Park

A perfect place to immerse into the wilderness of Nature. Denali National Park is Six million acres of wild land. However first 92 miles of the park is accessible by Road. We will not be able to drive our personal vehicle into the park beyond the first 15-mile mark. Best time to visit the park is Summer is between May to early September. We visited the park in the first week of September and camped at the Savage river camp site. Camping is the best way to experience the wilderness of the park.

Reserving the camp in advance is a great idea. Also, the spots for the bus tour gets filled up quickly, there is no standing passenger allowed in the bus. The occupancy is equal to the number of seats so a reservation is highly recommended.

We reached the park at 1.30 PM from the Anchorage airport. As the first stop, we visited the visitor center to collect details about the road conditions, then check in campsite, getting around the little market outside the park, identifying hotels outside the park for food etc,.

Visit the link below to see how we spent three days in the park.

1) Day one and two at the park
2) Day three and four at the park
