Hiking to the Supai village:

Hilltop to the Village 8 miles
1000 feet descent in initial two miles and another 1000 feet over six miles
Sunrise was at 6.00 AM so we started at 6.30 AM and reached at 10.00 AM ( in the month of April)
Trail was well marked and graveled
We drank around two liters of water both put together (pls note we started early and was in the first week of April, early summer).
Ate two nutri bar, a couple of cookies, one bread sandwich each. ( normal snack consumption  as any other 8 miles hike)
First three miles are completely exposed to the sun without any shade, once you reach the canyon you can find plenty of shade, again only if you start your hike early.

Wildflowers

Canyon that you will hike through after the first three miles

We reach a point where we could spot purple flowers, it mean you are done with 50% of the hike, again we are not sure of you will spot them if you go during other time of the year
Our 50% mile mark

Once you see the Supai sign it means you still got 2.5 miles of the final stretch of your hike to the village.
All most there.

Very soon you will spot streams flowing. I should say that the water of these streams are not that blueish green as we see in other pictures. I was disappointed if photographs are made to look so. However was proved wrong once I reached the falls
Little streams that will welcome you

Once inside the village, you can see a tourist office where you need to drop by and register only if you are camping otherwise head directly to the lodge.

Lodge check-in is at 1.00 PM so leave your bags at the reception and get around the village
There is a lot of fine sand in the trail that goes into the shoes, so we preferred changing our socks before heading to the falls.
